Congratulations Ms. Carr!!
Congratulations to our SAIL teacher, Ms. Carr! She was chosen as the gifted & talented department's teacher of the year and is now one of the Top 5 Finalists for the district's Teacher of the Year award. We are so fortunate to have such a talented teacher helping our scholars to grow and achieve at Stono Park.
3rd Grade Astronauts
Our 3rd graders really enjoyed their CKLA unit! They immersed themselves in the outer space theme by wearing astronaut helmets to inspire their writing.
Rocking the Fun Run
We had a blast at our 2nd annual fun run! Scholars got some fitness minutes in, enjoyed some tunes and we even surpassed our school-wide fundraiser goal. Way to go Dolphins!
Diving Into Art
Families and students enjoyed our annual spring art show! There were under the sea pieces from every scholar in the school. We love seeing all the creativity coming out of Ms. Powell's art class.
Our Student Council at Work!
Our student council is going green! They potted indoor plants and distriputed them to classrooms around the school. They hope these plants will brighten someone's day and help improve the classroom air quality after learning they release oxygen.

Upcoming Events
Stono park is a wonderful school!The teachers and staff are dedicated professionals that care deeply about students in the school. It offers a balanced curriculum, which has a well -placed emphasis on reading and mathematics and at the same time includes art, music, computer and physical education. My grandson started going to Stono Park in CD and is currently in the 5th grade; he loves the school and the teachers, and as a grandparent I am extremely satisfied with his progress and intervention he receives to excel.
"This was our daughter's 1st year of school and is in CD. It's only halfway through the year and we can not believe how much she has learned!...She has gained so much confidence this year and loves going to school everyday...She even tells us she wants to be a teacher when she grows up...It's unbelievable what a positive impact CD has had on her.
